How Damo The Tall Hobbit became a sitcom
It wasn't a business plan. It was a Tuesday after an all-nighter, a Richie coconut-vendor arc, a C64C pinout diagram, and feet that looked like a Tall Hobbit cosplay gone wrong.
Team DC members have compared Damo's life to a sitcom before — the kind of comparison you make when someone ships Mambers patches at 3am, argues with a vendor about DIN connectors, and still insists they're fine. This time we stopped joking and actually drew it.
From one panel to a season
Chief generated Episode 1: cushion fort, Kersey calling circulation "technical debt," feet elevated on the mezzanine like it was a deploy milestone. We laughed. We demanded MOAAAAH. Within a morning we had five episodes. Then Ep 6. Then v2 remasters because Ep 2–5 had drifted into Mad Magazine territory. Then a character sheet. Then this website. Classic Damo scope creep — but make it art.
CHALLENGE ACCEPTED?! was supposed to be one strip. Image gen had other plans — co-opted social handles, invented damothetallhobit.com (one B), and gave Kersey three different hair lengths in the same week. We declared the feral footer joke canon and locked the real one: Team DC · FutureVision Labs · nothing forked.
Style lock & outtakes
Episode 1 became the style bible: pointed ears, C64 tee, plaid PJ pants with fur cuffs, Command Centre purple glow. Episodes 2–5 got v2 remasters to match. The originals live on the outtakes page — Mad Magazine cousins, wrong hobbit species, co-opted socials era. We didn't delete them. Tall tales include the drafts.
Mad Magazine inconsistency was retired after Ep 6 finally matched Ep 1 without me nagging. You're welcome. The outtakes stay up as a warning: image gen will betray you mid-season. Snooze before you invent Episode 7 about the Codebase64 mirror.
We locked a character sheet, wired avatar asides for this blog, and shipped the site to damo.futurevision.host because GOOOOOOO KERSEY said so. Flagship static site on FutureVision.Host — proof the free tier works, Tall Hobbit edition.
TALL TALES. LOW B.S. — accidentally the best tagline image gen never meant to register. Sitcom is sourced from real receipts: Richie, swollen feet, remaster fund, T.A.R.S., air fryer chicken. Nothing forked. Groundswell around the castle.
