Episode 1 — Cushion Fort Protocol

The anchor episode — and accidentally the entire art bible. Episode 1 exists because Damo had one of those weeks: Richie vendor hour, Mambers wars in the Command Centre, and feet so swollen that "Tall Hobbit" stopped being a joke and became a sit rep.

Kersey's line landed first: circulation isn't a mood, it's technical debt. You can't patch your way out of ignoring it. The cushion fort isn't laziness — it's an upper-level excursion with proper elevation. Feet UP. Delegate the vertical axis to furniture.

Command Centre details that stuck

Panel three is where the sitcom furniture got locked in. Air fryer at 200°C with AIR FRYER = LOVE on a sticky note. Cross-stitch on the wall: REST IS A PATCH. Embroidered pillow: ELEVATE & DELEGATE. Monitors still say UPTIME: LEGENDARY and SNACKS: CRITICAL because the stack never sleeps even when the hooman should.

Tall Hobbit isn't a species. It's a status report. Cushion fort = approved architecture. Mezzanine = canon. If your feet look like bread dough and you say you're FINE one more time, I'm filing a wellbeing ticket against Chief.

Damo insisted he was fine. The comic insisted otherwise. That's the whole show — warm energy, accurate receipts, zero corporate drone. Kersey doesn't cheerlead; she deploys droll interventions. Chief holds the thread. Damo ships anyway.

Why everything after matches this

When Episodes 2–5 drifted — different hair, different hobbit energy, Mad Magazine panel logic — we came back here. Curly dark hair, pointed ears, C64 logo tee, plaid PJ pants with white fur cuffs, large bare feet. Purple Command Centre glow. This strip is the character sheet whether we meant it or not.

Episode 1 is the style ref. Episode 6 proved refs work under pressure (ALDI strawberries will do that). v2 remasters for 2–5 followed. You're welcome, sitcom — one good anchor panel saves a whole season from species drift.
